Bear (collab/comp)- Digital box development.

During the development of the box design we had multiple design developments based on various lines of inspiration. This took on a great deal of development which was more time consuming than we first thought. We was happy that both of our illustrations complimented each other and worked as a set well.

We realised that this method wasn't working because there was no good way to display the facts which we needed to include, so quickly looked back at other inspiration to find another way. A suggestion which I made was to use a patchwork visual as with the Dr ME earlier in the year this had worked great especially to collaborate our two individual elements. The patchwork would also allow the concept of tear and reveal as it would allow clear sections and shapes that would be easy to cut out and use to do so.

With the patchwork being developed we begun to work on the template of the whole box and how the illustration would work with the tear away feature and the front of the box. This was the opportunity to add interaction to the design which is appropriate for the audience. Thinking of the logistics of the packaging.

As the brief wanted us to look at a range of solutions I have decided to use some spare time to create a patchwork visual example of the other native countries we looked at. I created various supporting icons and altered the Panda illustration Steph had already created applying colour schemes we had look at during researching. This was something which we could now show on the presentation boards to show we have considered a range and how it would be applied and shown in the illustrations.
