Change in direction
After looking back at the idea and visuals I have created for it I am not as happy as I thought I would be. I feel that the idea does convey an interpretation of dialogue but feel that it is too vague and obvious in its approach and I wanted to create a visual that was more personal.
To achieve this I think I am going to explore my other idea which I first thought and use some old scanned photos I already have stored on my laptop with the caption 'Un-captured dialogue within every memory'. This is to provoke nostalgia and conversation about peoples memories and past experiences- something which everyone would be able to do more than about news headlines. This type of dialogue comes much more natural and is less political focussed and more humorous and detailed. I think I will create a submission which is smaller than the A3 proposed because the photo will be so detailed it will leave room around the edges to merge with another design.
Hopefully they will be creating some postcards and this will be a design used on those as would fit with the idea of nostalgia and family memories as one of these is bound to be past holidays.
