Bear (collab/comp)- Net template development.

We realised that we needed to include more interaction with the use of letters and add a craft element to the box. A suggestion which we discussed was to allow the audience to create a letter C somehow out of the box back. This would then create a physical reference to the letter and the country being explored but also add a practical element which would allow the children to engage more but also cause interaction with the parents where help was needed. This concept would extend the tear idea we have already being developing but also stronger reference to the idea of letters as stated in the brief. It would create a product which could be collectable and cause the desire to collect a range to try and achieve the full alphabet or at least their own name. This could be then placed on the inside of the packet back so this could be torn away and crafted but leaving enough of the box there so the cereal still could be practically stored.

As this was a task for me to figure out I looked at creating the net from an existing font with an area made flat so the product could stand easily. I quickly realised that this wouldn't work and it would be easier to create my own net based around a shape which was much squarer and contained only straight line. A curved edge would be too complex for me to figure out in the short time frame but also too difficult for the child to construct. Although the product needed to be clear and legible as to what letter it was representing it also needed to be easy to craft.

I developed a net which will need some testing before printing out the final design onto it.
